Loaded Longboards are making a triumphant return to their carving roots with the all new Icarus deck. Combining big wheel flares, a balanced flex pattern and new manufacturing methods the Icarus is creating a new milestone in Loaded's quest for a soulful carving experience.
According to Greek mythology, Icarus was the son of a master craftsman, Daedalus, who built labyrinths for the King to imprison the Minotaur. Daedalus also became imprisoned by the King and to escape, he built wings using wax and feathers so he and Icarus could fly to freedom. Only Icarus didn't heed his fathers warning to not fly too close to the waves or too close to the sun and captivated by the thrill of flight he soared too high until the heat from the sun melted the wax in his wings causing him to fall into the sea.
